Overview

KeyPoint Government Solutions is currently seeking candidates for a Deputy Program Manager. Candidates for this opening must be located in the Fairfax, VA area or include a cover letter explaining relocation plans.

 

This position ensures the smooth flow of all support functions and shared services support in all matters pertaining to the KeyPoint Project. This position acts as Program Director for Project during absence of the Program Director. Maintains expert knowledge of contract requirements and prepares periodic reports as required.

 

Essential Functions:

  • Assumes responsibility as Program Director for KeyPoint Government Solutions during the Program Director’s absence
  • Provides senior level leadership of program including planning and communicating vision
  • Established short and long term goals and objectives
  • Maintains superb customer service relationships with all external Contracting Officer’s Technical Representatives and associated customer points of contact
  • Establishes close working relationship with KeyPoint directors and managers responsible for shared service support to the Program
  • Provides direct daily supervision of subordinates including hiring, training, evaluation, disciplinary action, coaching, and counseling actions
  • Direct supervisory responsibility for all support functions and coordination of shared services for contract execution
  • Effectively manages personnel by maintaining a qualified staff, communicating areas of accountability and performance expectations, determining standards of performance as a basis to review progress of personnel, recommending salary adjustments, transfers, promotions
  • Ensures proper training of personnel
  • Promotes a cooperative and harmonious working climate which is conducive to maximum employee morale, productivity, innovation, efficiency and effectiveness
  • Directs the work of subordinate managers and performs a wide range of managerial duties including planning, assigning tasks and responsibilities; setting priorities; monitoring and evaluating performance; and, developing employee capabilities
  • Assists in furthering success of KeyPoint through the identification of new business prospects and preparation of contract bid proposals when required
  • Acts as subject matter expert in counterintelligence matters related to Project & personnel
  • Manages and executes on additional contracts as required
  • Other duties as assigned

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or 5 years related supervisory experience with background investigations
  • New hire orientation
  • 5 plus years of experience with personnel security background investigations
  • Must have extensive experience managing large, geographically-dispersed programs to include an understanding and execution of P&L at the program level; FFP/AF experience desired
  • Experience with business financials to include budgeting, forecasting and profit and loss preferred
  • Minimum 5 years full-time supervisory experience. Proven ability to supervise a diverse team
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, supervise and delegate work for a subordinate staff and get results through others in a deadline-oriented environment
  • Excellent communications skills, both oral and written
  • Project Management experience required; PMI or Six Sigma certification preferred
  • Strong interpersonal skills; ability to work effectively with individuals at levels internally and externally
  • Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office
  • Must be able to work independently, multi-task, and possess excellent leadership skills
  • Must have exceptional customer service skills and the ability to communicate effectively with all client groups as a representative of KeyPoint
  • Must have the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, changing environment
  • Must have the ability to exercise good judgment and make independent decisions
  • U.S. citizenship (required for federal security clearance)

Federal Background Investigation REQUIRED please read.

The selected candidate for this position must be able to successfully obtain and maintain a favorably adjudicated government background investigation. This background investigation requires U.S. citizenship and will include an investigation of 10+ years of history including financial, education, employment, medical, residence, and personal records. The cost of this investigation will be paid by KeyPoint.
